HERE ARE GOOD MEN!

Mouvement de l'Incarnation August 06, 2026

At the close of the third international congress of the Men's Service of the Word of God, held on 10 November 2024 in Yaoundé, on the theme “You are the salt of the earth… the light of the world”, Dr Henri Bayemi, founder and president of the Movement of the Incarnation, urged the participants to return home inspired to love God and to embody His teachings through acts of compassion.

The commitment to improving lives, as conceived by its founder, has remained constant since the organisation was created, extending its influence to 18 dioceses in Cameroon and 19 in Europe, America and China, reaching more than 200 parishes. During the international congress from 7 to 10 November, workshops enabled members to share their experiences. Dr. Bayemi read testimonies during his closing remarks, emphasising that Jesus teaches that those who are trustworthy in small things will also be trustworthy in great things.

« I understood the importance of accompanying my wife to the hairdresser, of helping her choose her hairstyle and of covering the cost. » One person said: « I invited my wife to a restaurant, which delighted her, and I made clear that it was part of a task of the Men's Service; she expressed the wish that such outings should happen more often.» Added another person. « Thanks to the Men's Service, I learned to set up a monthly food budget, which brought harmony to my family. » Mentioned another. « I learned to help my wife in the kitchen, which allows her to relax. » « I regularly take care of her manicure and pedicure. » « I wash her feet with warm water and give her soothing massages from time to time. » Dr Bayemi continued to captivate the participants by sharing further testimonies from members anonymously.

Dr Bayemi stressed the importance of the Men's Service in the development of dioceses, parishes and families. He encouraged their participation in the Kribi retreat in January 2025, which regularly draws more than 300 men and their wives. The event, which takes place every five years, ended with a pontifical Mass celebrated by Bishop Léopold Sosthène BAYEMI MATJEI at the Word of God retreat centre in Nyom-Yaoundé. During this ceremony, he exhorted the participants to embrace total commitment and to nourish their hope in God.
