As part of the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the Movement of the Incarnation (Word of God Group) in the city of Garoua (Cameroon), a retreat day was organized on Sunday 29 October 2023 at the Saint John Paul II Spiritual
and Pastoral Center, under the theme "How I love your law" Psalm 119:97.
The Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Garoua (Cameroon), Bishop Faustin AMBASSA, marked the opening of this retreat day. During his homily, he exhorted the faithful on the importance of the Word of God. In this regard he states: " The Word of God is important because it is what helps us to know God, how we must behave. We speak of the Word of God as a light, a beacon so that we do not go astray. "
The teaching received during the retreat, for its part, insisted on the importance of reading the Word of God in order to live it out better. The event was very festive and joyful. Nearly 200 participants came from different areas for this celebration. This celebration was also an opportunity for some participants to appreciate their journey within the Word of God group. One participant testifies to having learned many virtues there: " The Word of God group taught me to be strict in my life, to make decisions in order to be able to live out Holiness, chastity "
