The Church, “community of the yes” forged by the Holy Spirit, which stands opposed to “the Church of the no,” which forces the Spirit “into a double work”: such is the image proposed by Pope Francis to those who took part in the Mass of Thursday, May 2, in the chapel of the Domus Sanctae Marthae.

Abide in my love.” “If you keep my commandments you will abide in my love”: such is the Christian community of the “yes.” When a Christian community lives in love, confesses its sins, adores the Lord, forgives offenses, is charitable toward others, and is a manifestation of love, then it feels the obligation of fidelity to the Lord to follow his commandments. “Let us ask the Lord that the Holy Spirit may always assist us in becoming a community of love. Of the love of Jesus who has loved us so much”; “a community of the yes that leads to fulfilling the commandments,” the Pope concluded.
