Christmas in Namur: A breath of fresh air is sweeping through the Word of God Groups in Belgium

Gathered on 14 December 2025 at the Saint Vincent Chapel in Transvaal (Namur), the members of the Incarnation Movement in Belgium experienced a momentous Christmas. From profound teachings to the launch of new ministries, here is a look back at a memorable day.

Blessings and spiritual renewal

The day began with a solemn Eucharist, marked by a powerful gesture from Father Onyeche: the blessing of the leaders, sent out on a mission to serve the group faithfully. Spiritual nourishment was at the heart of this gathering. The teachings of the founder, Papa Henri Bayemi, were delivered with fervour by Vanessa Mbotchawo and Maxime Mbouende. These moments of listening were sealed by a time of silent prayer and the recitation of the Litany of the Word of God.

The big news: the Children’s Ministry has been launched!

This was the highlight of Christmas 2025: the official launch of the Children’s Ministry. The little ones were looked after and taught about the meaning of the Nativity through colouring workshops and Bible stories. A wonderful promise for the future of the movement in Belgium.

Brotherhood and generosity in action

The family spirit was clearly evident thanks to the Women’s Ministry, which surprised the community by donating hot-plate cookers. A practical gift to ensure warm, convivial meals at future gatherings.

The celebrations were in full swing with:

• A visit from Father Christmas: A gift-giving session that delighted young and old alike.
• A royal feast: The day drew to a close around a table laden with exceptional delicacies.
