It was on 29 September 1996 at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Bamenda, Cameroon, that the Incarnation Movement, also known as the ‘Paroles de Dieu’ groups, was founded. It therefore celebrated its 28th anniversary last September.

On Saturday 28 September 2024, more than a hundred members from Ottawa, Gatineau and Toronto gathered at St Joseph’s Cathedral in Gatineau for this celebration, centred on the theme ‘And these signs will accompany those who have believed ’ (Mark 16:17).Les Participants durant l'enseignement

The teaching sent by the General Director and founder of the Incarnation Movement, Dr Henri Bayémi, challenged participants to put the Word of God into practice by regularly engaging in the spiritual exercises offered in the prayer sheet. The testimonies were moving. During the on-stage evangelisation, members shared the Word of God they had experienced through a fashion show, set against the backdrop of a football coach and his players. The members performed a sketch showing that nothing is impossible for God. They presented a short advert encouraging people to pray, to use the prayer card and to read the Bible. They also performed a dance routine for Jesus. The joy reached its peak when the tiered cake was unveiled. The birthday cakes were true masterpieces. On one of them, the spiritual exercises from the prayer sheet were written out in full.

A large number of participants came to celebrate the 28th anniversary of living out the Word of God. This day will undoubtedly remain a memorable one.
